Welcome to Moodle

Students in the library

Welcome to the RHUL online learning environment - called Moodle. First you need to log-in, and then you can access a course by selecting it from the 'My courses' list on the left.

For more information on Moodle please go to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section linked to on the left. If you cannot find what you are looking for, you can contact the Moodle Support Team at moodle-support@rhul.ac.uk for help. Your query will be referred to the most appropriate person and answered as quickly as possible.

Note: Archived courses can be accessed at the Moodle Archive.

For Students

If your courses are not in 'My courses' you can search for them by clicking on the Department in the Course Categories list, or by following the 'All courses' link. 'My courses' lists the courses you are officially registered on, which you can check by going to Campus Connect. If you are not registered for your courses, please contact your Departmental Administrator.

For Staff

For Staff, in addition to Introductory Training Sessions and one-to-one consultancy and development meetings, we are now offering specific workshops to get the most out of Wikis, Forums, Quizzes and much more. Please visit the E-Learning Training & Development Webpage to book onto any of these sessions.

We also have the frequently updated Moodle Support course offering guidance, helpsheets and the excellent ‘Using Moodle’ book.

Update on changes to Moodle and other learning systems this summer
by Alison Pope - Thursday, 10 May 2012, 05:13 PM

This summer IT and Academic Services will be upgrading to Moodle 2, updating our digital repository and introducing new technology for recording lectures.

We are currently working on moving to Moodle 2 and will build the new platform and copy course content across during May and June as part of annual rollover. Tutors will be able to edit their 2012/13 courses from the beginning of July.

Skills development, training and ongoing support will be offered by the Educational Development Team.

For further information please see our monthly key messages bulletin for April or the project web site.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
